The word community has many fdiffrents menaings depending on the context of the conversation. For this reason it`s importante to understand it`s meaning according to the context, specially when refering to online communities. Generally, community refers to people or groups who have somethingin the common. These common characteristics unite the people and allow then to relate to each other. Community also refers to the feeling of teamwork that comes from working together with people who have common interets. Characteristics of a good community are a felling of solidarity and contentment among the group, meaningful interactions, competition, punctuality, and a sence of enjoyments.
COMMENT
It is increible hoe a little word cause so much confunsion. Some people think in some way but other people think different adn this has more confusion than the original meaning. I think the community is formed by things such as people, customs, tradition and culture. The differents facilities did no change tha communities simply try to improve that. There are many comminities and each one is characterized by their differents traditions. The internet also has many communities, from the differents places of the word, too.
